Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Male | 9 years and 2 months old | 13 lbs
My nine year old cat rainstorm keeps breaking out in his face and it's keeps getting worse. Pulse he's completely licked all his hair off the bottom. I've written to you before but, I already have a bill at my vet I'm trying to pay off for the first time. I have a bottle of clavamox prescribed for one of my other cats who has an upper respiratory infection but, I'm not sure if I should give it to rainstorm too.

Please do not give medication prescribed for another cat to Rainstorm. It's not safe at all, and it may not be the correct medication to treat his condition. It could be he has allergies causing his face to break out, or he could have fleas, mites, or ringworm. I do have to recommend another vet visit, as the cause needs to be diagnosed in order to find the correct treatment. I would see if you can borrow money from family and friends to afford the vet, and I can give you some resources that may help. You can see if there is a low cost clinic in your area, or you can apply for Care Credit online. There is also an organization called Red Rover that give grants for treatment of sick animals, and you can see if you qualify for one of their grants. Best Friends also has a list of resources that offer financial assistance on their website. http://www.humanesociety.org/animals/resources/tips/trouble_affording_pet.html?credit=web_id91754962 https://www.redrover.org https://www.carecredit.com http://bestfriends.org/resources/financial-aid-pets http://lessonsfromaparalyzeddog.com/when-pet-owners-cant-afford-veterinary-bills/ http://www.dogheirs.com/resources-affordable-veterinary-care/ Check out these resources to see if one can help you. Best of luck.
