Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Female | spayed | 6 years and 1 month old | 7.2 lbs
Can you help me figure out why my chihuahua doesn't let me pet her anymore? She bites hen I touch her back towards her hips and goes into attack mode when we leave out a door.

It is possible that the hip joint is painful. That could happen with acute arthritis, a soft tissue (muscle or ligament) injury or possibly more severe disease like necrosis of the femoral head. A clinical examination at your local veterinarian is essential to confirm these clinical suspicions and treat appropriately. Anti inflammatory meds may be needed.
