Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | American Bulldog | Male | neutered | 1 year and 8 months old | 86 lbs

My dog is a 18 month old American Bully who has a crazy appetite. The past two days he hasn't ate anything and he's barely drinking any water. I did take him to the vet they gave him an antibiotic and vomiting pill and some probiotic powder and he still not eating and the little bit he does eat vomits up and I'm getting so completely worried not sure what to do next

You need to take Tank back to the vet as there may be a more serious problem lurking, such a possible partial or even complete gastric or intestinal blockage. If the "vomiting pill" (cerenia?) is not working there is a mechanical obstruction possible. Since Tank is a young dog, he may have swallowed a toy or something that cannot be readily digested. In order to find out whether there is an obstruction the vet will need to do some x-rays, first without contrast medium, and then possibly with contrast medium if there is a serious suspicion of an obstruction. If Tank does not have a complete set of vaccinations, then there is also a possibility that he is suffering from a parvo infection. Pancreatitis is a further possible cause. Please take Tank back for a recheck.
