Why does my dog have a strong, persistent, and bad body odor?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | American Pit Bull Terrier | Female | 65 lbs

I wrote to you before about my white red nosed pitbull rare breed from Ireland. She has that smell we can't get rid of. I smell it everywhere, I can taste it in my food and I smell it coming from my skin. Do you know why this is happening. It is very sickening....

It could be Precious has a skin infection caused by yeast leading to that smell. The only way to know for sure is to have her seen by a vet. The vet can diagnose the cause of the smell, and can treat her for it. Since the smell is so bad, I'd take her into a vet today or tomorrow. Best of luck.
