My dog has a small brown scaly lump. Could it be a wart or cancer?

Hi, my dog has a small scaly round brown lump that appears to only be on the surface on the skin. I am worried if I need to be concerned about cancer or if it is something more simple like a wart? She has had lumps before observed by our vet which have been pimples and skin tag like things of no concern. Pic attached below. Thanks. Pet's info: Dog | Cavalier King Charles Spaniel | Female | spayed | 8 years and 2 months old

Thanks for sending the picture! It appears to be a wart like growth with a small scab on top. These are common in small breed dogs. If it grows or changes rapidly, then I would still have her veterinarian check it out. Otherwise I do not suspect it will be a problem for her. You can try to clean the scab off for her. Good luck!
