I just got a 12 week old puppy, a shih tzu. The original owners gave her dewormer yesterday, and I went buy more today. And just gave her some. So, i gave her dewormer 2 days in a row, will she be okay? Shes about 2 lbs. Pet's info: Dog | Shih Tzu | Female | unspayed | 2 lbs

Thank you for contacting Pet Coach with your question about Lola, and congrats on your new dog! The answer to your question depends on the type of dewormer that was given to her. Panacur is a three day course of treatment, so it would need to be given a couple days in a row. Drontal, for example, is a different dewormer and can be given as early as two weeks apart. Unfortunately I can't answer your question as to if she will be ok or not without knowing the name of the dewormer, but they are typically very safe with few sides effects even when dogs are given more than the recommended dose.
