Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 18 years and 2 months old | 7 lbs
My 18-year old cat had a cyst right above his left eye. He had it for about 2 years, and it gradually became quite big. Our vet drained it and the liquid came out absolutely transparent. 2-3 weeks after it filled up with liquid again. We drained it and then we took the cat to the vet again. He suggested surgery to remove this lump. I really don't want to do surgery as my cat has kidneys problems and I am pretty sure he won't come out of anesthesia. What other options do I have?

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I would agree with your veterinarian that surgery is likely the best option at this point. Another option is to continue draining it on an as needed basis but that may get uncomfortable with time if you have to do it consistently. Anesthesia can be very safe if done appropriately. Unfortunately there is rarely any medical therapy for cysts. Good luck and have a good night!
