My dog has bumps on his nose. Are they mosquito bites or serious?

My dog randomly has gotten bumps on his nose, how do I know if their serious? Could they be mosquito bites

Hello, sorry to hear about Kobe. Yes, small bumps that are red and itchy could be associated with mosquito bites, although, I would expect them to be distributed throughout the rest of his body and not just his nose. Contact allergies with wither (carpet, toys, clothing, grasses) may also cause local skin allergies. And finally, skin infections on his nose and muzzle may cause this as well. You may wipe his nose with a skin sensitive bay wipe that does not contain fragrances to see if this decreases the bumps. If he is itchy, or if the bumps are getting worse, then he should be evaluated by a veterinarian to make sure he does not have a local infection. Hope this helps and best of luck.
