He there! I have an 8 year old lab who is getting white like scans around his eye it doesn’t seem to be bothering him but is this treatable so it doesn’t keep getting worse. He started with one spot and now has 3 around the same eye? What could it be? Thank you

I am sorry to hear about Rookie! There are a variety of possible causes for this problem, including a bacterial skin infection, a fungal skin infection (ringworm), mites of the skin (these are microscopic so cannot be seen), autoimmune disorders, skin growths/tumors, and more. I would recommend making an appointment for Rookie to see his vet. They may recommend testing of the area such as cytology to check for bacteria or fungal culture to check for ringworm. Treatment may be possible but will depend on the underlying cause.
