Why is my Boston Terrier's fur turning tan on her legs and back?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Boston Terrier | 8 years and 4 months old

My 10-year-old Boston Terrier very health but all of a sudden the front of her legs, back and front have turned a little tan color. Washed her and the color didn't seem to change. it doesn't hurt her to touch her there, and she runs and plays as normal. What is this color change?

Hi there. I would have Buddi checked by your veterinarian. It could be an endocrine/hormonal issue or something affecting her skin. You vet will be able to check for these causes and find out why the color of her coat is changing. I hope that helps! Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
