Is there an all-in-one heartworm, flea, and tick medicine for dogs?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | 2 years and 2 months old | 31 lbs

I’ve been giving my 2 year old dog Heartguard for heartworms and Simperica for fleas and ticks since I adopted him 4 months ago. He has been doing fine, but I wonder if this is usually the best option and if there is an all-in-one pill for both heartworms and ticks/fleas that works as well?

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! There is not an "All In One" option yet. There are products that are close but fail with the most important ticks, the deer tick that carries Lyme. What you are doing with the 2 products is the best. I am still hopeful one day we will have a product that get them all. Have a good day!
