If all my cats have flu, can I quarantine them together in one room?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Hi , I have 7 cats (long story, didn't mean to have 7) one came home from the vet and brought with him the cat flu we took him to the vet where he got antibiotics and he got well in 2 days time but now all my cats are infected and I was wondering if I can quarantine all of them in 1 room and nurse them back to health instead of letting them spread the infection everywhere obviously they'll get all their own feeding items example bowls , now should I do this or is there a better alternative?

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Yes, I would isolate the infected sick cats. But if all 7 are sick I don't see a point to isolate them as they all h ave the same thing. I do not think they will re-infect each other. Good luck!
