Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Longhair | Female | spayed
My cat isn’t always eating her wet food but seems to favour her dry food. However the dry food I had to get from the vet as she had lost a lot of weight over the summer due to being more active. She has now put the weight back on, but she now barely touches her wet food. What should I do? As I can’t afford to keep throwing the food away. I haven’t changed her food if this helps. Thank you. Anita

Hi Anita, Misty looks like she's a good body condition now. Some cats just don't like wet food. It would be fine to feed her only dry food, but I would advise getting her a pet fountain to help make sure she drinks enough water. Cats love running water and pet fountains can really help. In the summer when she is more active, I would just feed her more of the dry or switch to a food that has a few more calories. I hope that helps. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach!
