Hi I just adopted a stray dog puppy. I dont know his age he has opened his eyes. And he has nails grown. He was fully wet did to rain. I have drained him and gave some heat. I have few questions please help me. 1. How old is he ? 2. What should I feed him ? ( I have no money. Please tell me something that i can give him, which are available in my home). Hi and thanks for posting! It is hard to say how old your puppy is without seeing him first. Puppies start to open their eyes 10-14 days after birth, so if his eyes are open then he is at least 2 weeks old but may be older. Determining the age of a puppy is typically done by looking at their teeth which can be done during an initial exam with a veterinarian. Jr will need to be on a puppy milk replacement formula until he is 6-8 weeks old then you can transition him to a commercial puppy food.
