Can carpal valgus in adult dogs be corrected? What causes it?

Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Male | 2 years and 9 months old

What causes carpal valgas deformity ? Is smooth surface like glossy tiles walking on them or running is the cause of this carpal valgas? If not mention the cause also at his this age of almost 3 yrs if I going to wrap splints on his legs then will this valgas will going to correct or it will going to be like this only? Also I am attaching xrays of his bith front legs kindly see the attachment to confirm me whether valgas is showing in the xrays or not

This can be from his genetics or breeding or can develop after an injury. Splinting the carpus will help prevent the condition from worsening when used during exercise but will not correct the problem. Yes the X-rays show a valgus deformity. This is a dog I would not breed since you don’t want to take the chance of this being passed on to the puppies. I recommend a consult with a board certified orthopedic surgeon to see if there is corrective surgery or any rehabilitation treatment they recommend.
