Pet's info: Dog | Boxer | Male | neutered | 2 years and 9 months old
I picked my 2yr old boxer up from the kennel yesterday, he has lost a lot of weight (almost 22 lbs) and is running really hot (hotter than normal) then his temp evens out, then hot again. In combination to this he is losing his fur, not in clumps but shedding a whole lot. Could he have an Infection? (Before and after photos)

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! This is not likely to be an infection. This amount of weight loss is quite serious and it could be due to many reasons such as gastrointestinal disease, inflammatory disease, pancreatitis, parasites, cancer, among other possibilities. This warrants a veterinary evaluation as soon as possible for further assessment. Further diagnostics may include abdominal imaging and blood work. Treatment would be based on findings. Good luck and have a great day!
