Why is my dog losing weight, hair, and has raw skin & anus?

Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Male | unneutered | 17 years and 4 months old | 20 lbs

What causes a dog to loses weight, not gain weight, have hair come out revealing a raw spot on his body, and have a barely swollen raw anus? He has an appetite and drinks water but the severe problem above is the question I want a dignaose for. So what's going on? Thanks kindly.

There are many, many illnesses which can cause weigh loss and weakened skin and there is no way we can diagnose this accurately from the history here. A full physical exam and possibly blood tests and ultrasound scan./xray may ve required to investigate this fully.
