Why do my sibling cats fight and pull fur? Is this normal behavior?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Mediumhair | Male | neutered | 1 year and 11 months old

Leo (male, neutered) gets aggressive towards my other cat (female, spayed, same litter) sometimes. I assumed they were playing, but recently I found that he had pulled out some of her fur during these 'fighting' sessions. I generally try to separate them, they separate pretty easily. Is this normal?

Cats, like people , especially siblings, do get into tiffs at times and fur flies.....this is quite normal and nothing to worry about. I have 5 cats and one or another fights here and there and the next day you see them lying next to each other. Unless one mobs the other constantly, the occasional tiff is nothing to worry about
