Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | neutered
Our 5 year old car has suddenly started sneezing a lot and one of his eyes is a little red. We have not changed food, detergent, or litter. Any suggestions as to what could be causing it or what we could do to help him?

The most common cause of sneezing and red eyes in cats is actually a viral upper respiratory infection. Many cats are exposed to these viruses when they are very young, and they can then have 'flares' during times of stress. If you notice any thick or colored nasal discharge, if there is eye discharge, or if the eye redness seems to be getting worse I would recommend seeing your veterinarian to confirm the diagnosis.
