Ideally, she should be seen by your veterinarian since the diarrhea has persisted for more than 48 hours. If this is not possible, since Abby is still behaving normally otherwise, you can continue to feed a bland diet in small, frequent amounts. Feed bland until the stool is normal then transition slowly to her regular diet. Make sure she continues to drink as well to prevent dehydration. You can mix some unflavored PediaLyte in with her water. If she becomes lethargic, begins vomiting, stops eating or if the diarrhea continues, then have her examined by your veterinarian.

If besides having bloody diarrhea Abby is bright and eats and drinks, you can put her on a bland ration of white rice and white boneless chicken feeding small quantities 3-4 times a day. Make sure she drinks enough water. If Abby appears sick, lethargic, does not eat nor drink or appears very pale (check her gums, they should be pink or pale pink), then she needs to be seen today by a vet or in a Pet ER.
