My 5 lb Chihuahua twisted her toe nail in her pet carrier. It's not bleeding and she is still moving around. Will it break off or do I have to take to the vet?

It is likely to fall for itself but monitor closely for increasing pain or swelling which would require a vet visit to remove the nail and assess for infection. Bathing twice daily in salted water can help prevent infection
