My kitten had intussusception symptoms, now pooping. Is it still a risk?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | unneutered | 2 months and 4 days old | 4 lbs

Kitten diagnosed possible intussusception (no X-ray or ultrasound) but was throwing up & not passing stools. After anti nausea & fluids just passed stool-healthy well formed (no blood, mucus, etc) perky & seemingly great. With this fabulous poop, would intussusception still be a possibility?

Let's say that intussusception would be very unlikely given clinical improvement. Gastrointestinal infection was more likely i think.
