My dog got prednisone. Can humans take it, or is it only for pets?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 1 year and 11 months old | 10 lbs

My dog got prescribed prednisone, and I was wondering if humans can take those as well? Or is it just for animals

Prednisone is also used in humans, having said that taking a steroidal prescription medication that has been prescribe to your dog and not to you is very dangerous and risky, i would definitely not recommend doing that.

    Absolutely not. This medication must be given under the direct supervision of a veterinarian due to it's high potential for side effects and incorrect dosing. If your needs steroids (like prednisone) he must be examined by a vet.
