Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | neutered | 12 years and 4 months old | 13 lbs
My 12 year old male cat keeps getting repeated nail bed infections. He is an indoor only cat and has been for the last 8 years. We started with one infected nail, it has very thick bright green pus that comes out when you retract the nail. The vet cleaned it out under sedation and gave an injection of antibiotics. It went away. Well now I noticed he has 3 nails on that same front paw infected the same way and one on his back paw. Any ideas what this could Be from?

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Jack! It can be from allergies (food or environment) or immune. I would take him back to the Vet for an evaluation and full blood work. Consider antibiotics, medicated foot soaks, steroids and a prescription hypoallergenic diet. Good luck!
