My dog's rear legs are paralyzed 3 days after surgery. Is this normal?

My dog can't walk after mamory surgery. She was walking when she came home. This is day 3 after surgery, her rear legs seem to be paralyzed, she tries to drag herself around. Is this normal after this type of surgery?

No, this isn't normal. I see that Gretchen in a Dachshund, and they can commonly have issues with their spine that come on suddenly. I would consider this a medical emergency, and she needs to see a vet now. Please take her into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. The information to reach that vet is found on a clinic's answering machine or website. Best of luck.
