Why is my 6-month-old rabbit so tiny and underweight despite eating?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

my rabbit is 6 months old, and she suffers from being extremely thin and basically half the size of her siblings of the same age. she eats the most and there are no other signs of illness aside from her being extremely light. she is not just thin she is small in every way possible. i think she is less then 150 grams. what could she have and what is the reason behind her delayed growth and thin body, again she eats the most and whatever she has is not infectious since the other rabbits are fine.

I would be suspicious that there may a significant birth defect internally preventing her from developing normally. At 6months she is unlikely to catch up with the others and should not be used for breeding as the additional strain could be too much for her
