Cat's injured paw is red, swollen, purple, and losing fur. What to do?

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 10 lbs

My cat paw got injured and whatever injured her made a wound straight throught her paw. Itz been a few days and her leg all red patches of fur is missing and the wound it swollen an purpleish. I been cleaning it and banging it every day. What could be wrong and what else can i do? (I had put a plastic wrap around it to keep it dry, she likes to dig in her water bowl) please help

I am sorry to hear about Minibug. I would be concerned that she has a bacterial infection due to the wound. Puncture wounds can be very bad for this because it is extremely difficult to fully clean a deep puncture. I would also be concerned if you had wrapped her paw tightly with plastic wrap if some of the circulation to her foot could have been diminished. I would highly recommend getting her in to see a vet as soon as possible with the symptoms you describe. She likely needs oral or injectable antibiotics and pain medication.
