My outdoor lab has dry spots and thinning fur. Is it a skin infection?

Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | neutered | 2 years and 6 months old | 98 lbs

My lab is 2 1/2 years old and stays outside. He has spots all over that look round dry spots and his fir is thinning.

This looks like a skin infection. It can either be bacterial or fungal. Your veterinarian can evaluate Max's skin and provide medication to properly treat him. This treatment may be oral medication but also topical shampoos. Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
