Puppy has bloody poop after playpen anxiety. Should I worry?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Male | unneutered | 2 months and 12 days old | 3.5 lbs

My 11 week old puppy had normal poops this morning. However, he gets very anxious when we leave him in the playpen and normally poops. When we did this morning, I found tiny droplets of blood in some of the poop. Is this something to worry about?? Please let me know.

I would watch Prince for a few days. If he develops diarrhea, starts vomiting, doesn't eat his food, or seems lethargic he should be checked out by a vet. There are lots of causes of occasional blood in feces, such as intestinal parasites, mild cases of colitis, and bacterial or viral infections.
