How soon can I safely spay my dog after she's had a C-section?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | French Bulldog | Female | unspayed

I know the op can be done at the same time, but if being spade wasn't done during a c section, how soon after is it safe to do

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Pixie. I would recommend waiting two-three months after a c-section to have her spayed. This allows the pups to be fully weaned and gives the uterus time to contract back down to its normal size. This makes the surgery easier on her and the surgeon. I hope this information helps!
