My cat has a hole on her tummy, but seems fine. Does she need a vet?

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Mediumhair | Female | unspayed | 4 lbs

She has a hole in her tummy just up from her back leg and she is still eating and drinking and walking around fine

Hi, sorry to hear Yuna is poorly. I advise you that she is still checked over as she will be in pain even if walking around and also might need additional treatment such as assessing the area to see how extensive is the wound, clip and clean the area and possibly swab for bacterial culture/Antibiotics if necessary. Hope she is back to full health soon !

    Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Yuna! Can you post a picture? If she has a wound or a deep hole she should see a Vet. I am assuming she is a young kitten? If she goes outside it could be a wound from another animal, if that is the case you have to be very careful about Rabies if she is not vaccinated. Another possibility if she goes out side is a cuterebra, which is a large fly larvae that lives under the skin in the hole. If you look at the hole you can sometimes see something moving. Regardless it sounds like Yuna needs a Vet exam. i wish you the best!
