my dog has this black crust in the corner of his mouth. he only has it on one side and i’m really scared on what it could be. i can’t take him to the vet because i’m not allowed to go anywhere on my own yet and they’re too busy to take me. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | unneutered | 5 years and 10 months old | 25 lbs

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! It looks like the area around his mouth is infected but without seeing him I can’t tell you what kind. It’s not emergent, but I would recommend your parents taking him to a vet for an exam, diagnosis and treatment. They may need to look at his skin under the microscope. As I said, it’s not emergent but I do recommend it is looked at up close. Good luck and kisses to Hachi!
