Male dog trying to mount her but she isn’t in heat? She gave birth 3 days ago and whenever I let her out to go potty my male dog tries to mount her and follows her around sniffing her she doesn’t stand for him and even attacks him but that doesn’t stop him why is this happening?

Male dogs are often confused by the discharge and pheromones immediately after birth. It is vitally important to keep them segregated to prevent injuries as the new mother is also going to be protective of her pups also
