Is leashing my cat on the patio a safe way for her to be outdoors?

Hi, I've been on a constant fight between keeping my cat indoors vs outdoors as she is absolutely in love and obsessed with the outdoors, and so I came up with the this idea of keeping her around the patio of the house with a leesh tied to a wood. Do you recommend this? And what are your opinion?

Keeping her leashed would not be recommended. Should an aggressive cat or dog happen upon your cat, she would not be able to escape. An enclosed or screened porch or sunroom would be the best and safest option if you don't want her wandering.
