I gave giulio a bath today and noticed a small rash on his neck from his collar. What can I put on it to treat it?

Giulio may have a hotspot. Take off the collar, use a medicated antibacterial pet shampoo on the area and rinse thoroughly. Don't put the collar back on until the skin is healed. If Giulio's fur is very thick, you may need to use clippers (not scissors) to cut back the hair so that the skin can dry out better. You can use Neosporin on the irritated skin. If it isn't looking better in a day or two, Giulio may need to be examined by a vet for oral antibiotics or other treatments. First thing you do is to remove the collar and leave it off. Giulio may be allergic to the collar in some way, be it the chemical of how the collar is dyed, or the leather or metal on it (sorry I do not know what kind of collar you are using) It may be a good idea to shave the hair around the rash. and then disinfect the rash. I would not put any medication on it as it may just be a mechanical injury from the collar or allergy and both should heal once the collar is off the dog. If the rash gets worse while the collar is off, you will need to take Giulio to your vet for an exam as this could also be a bacterial or fungal infection which will then need the appropriate prescription medicines.
