My turtle hugs walls and bumps into objects. Could he be going blind?

sometimes i let my turtle wander around my room so that it wont feel trapped in his tank and usually he hugs the wall or runs into things, i read an artivle that told me to quicklu move my hand towards his face and see if he moves his head back and i tried it but im not sure if it actually works, i dont see anything wrong with his eyes but i think he might be blind.

He would need to be physically examined by your veterinarian or an experienced veterinary ophthalmologist to definitively diagnose blindness. Normally, they have very good eyesight, in and out of the water.
