Why is my dog losing hair on his eyebrows? Can Benadryl help?

Our dog is losing hair on his eyebrows, we are not sure exactly why, however feel as tho it is an allergic reaction to something we have fed him or from changing his dog food. He is an inside pet, his name is Cooper and he is almost 2 years old. Can we get your intake or suggestion other then taking him to the vet? Should we give him Benedryl? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | neutered | 1 year and 9 months old | 52 lbs

I suspect that his eyes are bothering him and he is rubbing his face on anything he can find. You can certainly try Benadryl with him and see if it helps. If there is no improvement or the condition worsens, then I would recommend having a veterinarian examine him so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made.
