My dog is vomiting orange foam, not eating or drinking. What's wrong?

Nelly is about 10, we're guessing. She was a stray we took in. She didn't poop for two days, then all was normal - until she started having massive diahrrea bouts. That finally stopped, but now she's vomiting a peach orange foam slime. She was a huge drinker, but now she won't eat anything either, and is tapering down on her water intake. What should we be concerned for, and what can we do? She's been on a bland diet of oatmeal and cooked, lean meat because she wouldnt touch the dog food.

Hi there and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to address your concern. There are a number of possible causes of the symptoms you are describing. If Nelly is now not drinking much water she is likely becoming dehydrated and is in need of fluid therapy. I would recommend having Nelly examined by a veterinarian so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. I hope Nelly gets better soon! Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further.
