My rescued puppy mill dog is not playful. How do I help her adjust?

Pet's info: Dog | Dachshund miniature | Female | spayed | 11 lbs

I rescued a 2 yr.old dachund from a puppy mill and she just eats sleeps and poops ok but does not play or wag tail just sleeps with me and shows no sign of usual behavior.she was badly abused there. I have her for about five weeks but very little signs of interest in regular dog behavoirs are yet showing. She moans sometimes in her sleep.what can I do?they had bred her twice and both litters died.she was badly treated.

The adjustment may be a little difficult for her, especially because she likely did not have any positive human interactions or toys available. Wilma may also have a more "quiet" personality. You may want to consider enrolling her in a training class where she can interact with other dogs and with you in a controlled, positive environment.
