Can unhealthy food or human table scraps truly shorten my dog's life?

Pet's info: Dog | Japanese Spitz | Female | spayed | 2 years and 5 months old | 11 lbs

Does bad food affect dog's life span. I am trying to give her food good for her but my family like to provocate... and my dog get from them salam around once in 2 weeks, is that bad for her, will it affect life span?

A poor balanced diet can decrease their life span and lead to secondary health problems such as poor dental disease and GI upset A well balanced commercial diet is best as it is balanced appropriately. You can give plain boiled chicken or cooked salmon in small quantities as something special and this will not harm her
