My outdoor cat eats prey. Are raw eggs a complete diet for him?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 1 year and 5 months old | 5 lbs

Is raw egg a complete food for cats ? My cat is an outdoor cat so he often catches and eats his own prey. Is it sufficient to feed him just raw eggs ?

It is indeed a very nutrient type of diet, but it is not a complete food at all. I would recommend to give a basic commercial diet, which is usually more balanced and then as supplements the eggs could be ok.
