My cat has a limping leg, no wound. What to do before the vet?

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 13 lbs

hello doc. my cat milo 6 years old, he is mixed breed cat. today i found his left front leg limp. yesterday he was fine. when i check his leg there is no wound at all, so i guess he had trauma because of jump to the table, chairs or window. he very active and playfull cat. for now he is rest at cat room, and what i have to do next before i take him to vet. thank you very much

Poor Milo! You are doing the right thing by resting him, and I would keep doing that until you can get him into the vet. I would not allow him to go outside if he's allowed outside. Unfortunately there's not much you can do but rest him. You cannot give him any human pain medications because many are toxic to cats and are fatal if given. The only safe pain medications are from the vet. You can try resting him for the next 24-48 hours, and if he's still having problem with his front leg, take him into the vet. Take him in sooner is if you are concerned he is in a lot of pain. Good luck I hope this helps!
