Thank you for submitting your question. Unless you were instructed otherwise, it is generally ok to remove an E-collar for short periods of time. However, Toby must be fully supervised during these times. If he attempts to lick the affected area, then the collar must go back on him. Anytime he is not fully supervised (when you are gone, at night or are not able to watch him carefully), he must continue to wear the collar. I hope this information helps!
