Why does my dog have foul gas, isn't eating, bloated, and liquid poop?

first day my dog was farting with foul smell..then now he is eating less and also sometimes he is not eating..his stomach is bloated and potty is liquid

Poor Bruno! It sounds like he has diarrhea, and it could be that he ate something that has upset his stomach. It could also be caused by parvovirus if he isn't fully vaccinated, a foreign body, or a severe GI illness. Because he's now not eating and his stomach is bloated. having him seen by a vet is best. The cause of his symptoms need to be diagnosed so he can be treated, and only the vet can do that. I recommend taking him into a vet right away. Good luck!

It sounds as Buzz is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to ingestion of a foreign body material. i would recommend taking him to the vet the first chance you get, he will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection he will need an anti nausea injection, antibiotics and a special food for a few days in order to get better.

Hello, sorry to hear about Bruno. You may attach a picture if you'd like, however, the majority of times gas and abnormal stools may be associated with some form of dietary indiscretion. Meaning, they may have ate something that caused their GI tract to become upset. The signs you are describing are very mild and thus, no immediate need to see your veterinarian is warranted. However, if Bruno has any active vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, or decreased appetite then he should be seen by his veterinarian. Other causes of GI signs may include a parasite or viral infection, inflammation of the bowel and ingestion of foreign material. Hope this helps and best of luck.

Hi there! Sorry to hear that Bruno is not feeling well. The clinical signs you describe are concerning when they occur in a puppy as they can be seen with serious gastrointestinal infections such as Parvovirus. Other possibilities include intestinal worms and dietary indiscretion, among other possibilities. The sooner these conditions are treated the better the outcome tends to be. For this reason, I recommend that you have Bruno evaluated by your veterinarian to check for these possibilities and to start therapy based on findings. At the very least they can address dehydration if present and start him on medications to make him feel better. Good luck! Keeping my fingers crossed for your boy!

I recommend that you have Bruno evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. At the very least they can start him on medications to make him feel better and check his hydration status. In the meantime, keep water available at all times to try to prevent dehydration. If Bruno has had diarrhea and decrease appetite for 3 days I would recommend a visit to the vet. A young pup may have parasites, viral disease or a foreign body that can cause diarrhea. But at his age he can become debilitated quickly when sick so a vet visit at this point is probably a good idea. I hope he recovers quickly.

Bruno is an adorable puppy! Puppies who are vomiting, lethargic, and not eating should be evaluated by a veterinarian. Possible causes include stomach upset from eating something they shouldn't have, parasites, or even infections like parvo (a virus they pick up in environment that causes vomiting, diarrhea). You can offer a small amount of bland food like skinless boiled chicken breast and rice, but if Bruno won't eat or continues to vomit I would have him seen by a veterinarian right away. I hope he feels better very soon!

I am sorry to hear about Bruno! With his symptoms going on for several days and his age, I would recommend bringing him into the vet for an examination as soon as possible. There are MANY possible causes for vomiting in dogs https://www.petcoach.co/dog/condition/vomiting-1/ ranging from ingesting some food that starts a bout of pancreatitis (which can result in decreased appetite and vomiting) to infections to tumors to other internal diseases such as liver or kidney issues. The vet will perform a physical examination and will likely recommend diagnostic testing such as x-rays and bloodwork to try to determine what is causing Bruno's illness and how best to treat it. Treatment will depend on the cause but often includes injectable medication to help with vomiting/nausea and fluids with an IV to help with dehydration.

Poor Bentley! It's very serious when a dog has blood diarrhea, which can be caused by hemorrhagic gastroenteritis, damage to the GI tract, a foreign body, dietary indiscretion, infected or abscessed anal sacs, parasites, or parvovirus if he isn't fully vaccinated. I would take Bentley into a vet immediately, as there are some serious causes of bloody diarrhea. The vet can a physical exam, routine blood tests, a urinalysis, a fecal exam, and possibly x-rays to diagnose what is causing the bloody diarrhea, and can prescribe a treatment for it.

Hello. I am sorry Bruno isn't feeling well. Gas in dogs results in a sore painful belly, not wanting to eat, and low energy. Gas should resolve within a day, if the problem is continuing then Bruno should be seen by a vet. X-rays can show what is happening. If gas is reoccurring frequently then you can try changing the food. The mediaction you were given is ok for one or two uses however repeated uses of sorbitol can cause electrolyte changes. Discuss with your vet about options for Bruno. Good luck with him!
