My puppy has hair loss, itching, and discharge under eyes. What to do?

Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | 3 months and 11 days old | 18.7 lbs

My dog is 3 months old. He is suffering from hair loss below his eyes along with itching sensation for the past 1 month and also mucus or somesort of thing also present below his both eyes. I have consulted a vet doctor he has prescribed me ciplox-d medicine but no change has been seen till now. What should i do now?

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Bruno! I would have him rechecked. I would clean the skin and shave the fur away. I would consider oral steroids and oral antibiotics. I would also consider treating with with Nexgard to rule out demodex. I would also consider a different eye ointment, one with a steroid in it. Be sure your Vet checks to be sure he doesn't have a clogged tear duct or any other ocular issue that would cause increased tearing. I hope this helps and I wish you and Bruno the very best!
