Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 9 months and 24 days old | 15 lbs
I used a little bit of lemongrass essential oil on my wrist, first making sure it was not anything that was going to harm my dog. However, I accidentally touched her before it was dry, and she kind of went crazy for a minute rubbing her face all over the floor and furniture. She seems to be ok now, but should I be worried about a bigger allergic reaction? How long do I need to watch her to worry about her possibly being sick or allergic? Can I use a cool washcloth on her face??

Dog's are very sensitive to the smells of essential oils, which is likely why she was trying to rub it off her face. You can try and wash her face with water and shampoo to remove it. I wouldn't expect any further problems with her, but it will be good to monitor her for the next 24 hours for any other problems. There can be some skin irritation, sneezing and coughing that's seen with essential oils. As long as the source of the smell is gone this shouldn't be an issue though. I hope that helps and all is well with Sandy.
