Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Mediumhair | Female | 6 lbs
Hello I have a kitten we rescued at 3 months. She's had her checkups and was spayed last week. No diseases but her breath smells worse than my other cats. The vet said her teeth are fine and she doesn't need cleaning yet, but it's really strong. Is there products over the counter that can help? It smells almost like old wet cat food and she does have a very slight under bite. I feed her both a small amount of wet food and dry

I am attaching a link to the products that the Veterinary Oral Health Council (VOHC) has tested and approved for use. http://www.vohc.org/accepted_products.htm You will see that the list for cats is pretty short, but there are some diets, treats and water additives that might be an option for you. Good luck! I hope that was helpful. Thanks for using PetCoach.

Hi there and thank you for using pet coach to address your concern. I would recommend brushing the teeth with a enzymatic toothpaste such as CET enzymatic toothpaste. If the breath does not improve after using this, or the breath worsens I would recommend having a veterinarian examine the mouth to ensure there is no infection in the mouth or other disease. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.
