My dog ate Fruit Loops, now vomiting & has diarrhea. Should I worry?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Rough Collie | Female | unspayed | 5 months and 16 days old | 17.7 lbs

My dog was fine last night. I was eating fruit loops and she knocked the box over and stole a couple before I got it all cleaned up. She’s acting fine but she threw up a clear liquid with a slight yellow foam and had a solid poop this morning, but now it’s liquidish. Should I be concerned or just keep an eye on her. She is fully vaccinated.

Hello, sorry to hear about Lulu. This could be associated with her ingestion of Fruit Loops and may resolve on its own within the next 2-3 days. If, she is not doing better by that that time or if it is getting worse, then definitely have her seen by your veterinarian. In the interim, feed her small frequent meals and monitor for worsening vomiting, decreased appetite, or diarrhea. If you note any of these then have her evaluation. Hope this helps and best of luck.
