My dog has Parvo but is active. What are the chances and timeline?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 8 months and 15 days old | 10 lbs

She has parvo but at this point is only throwing up I took her to the vet 2 days ago she is still very active and eating and drinking on her own I am giving anti vomiting meds and antibiotics I have the stuff for sub q fluids if needed I just wanna know her chances and how long for the illness to pass

I’m so sorry to hear about Ganja! Parvo is a terrible disease. The good news is that if sounds like you and Ganja are pretty lucky. The at-home treatment has an estimated 80-85% survival rate anyways, and based on how you’re describing Ganja, I’m guessing she has an even better chance than that. Usually dogs start going “downhill” about day 2- 3, starts improving by day 4-5, and is basically out of the woods and almost 100% by day 7. The fact that she is eating and playing is an EXCELLENT sign. The other thing going for Ganja is her older age and bigger size. These guys tend to do better than the tiny young puppies. Keep giving the anti nausea medications and antibiotics as prescribed because keeping her eating and drinking is the best thing you can do. Hope this helps and best of luck to you and Ganja!
