Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 1 year and 1 month old | 10.6 lbs
My dog is a finicky eater. She also has a sensitive stomach. If she’s on an empty stomach for too long she will throw up bile. I feed her 3 times a day & want to know if this is okay even though she’s over a year now. She eats out of a small saucer & under the required limit, but lately it seems like she’s not so hungry. She still eats and acts normal just smaller portions. I’m thinking maybe it’s the time change/weather but she’s so finicky it’s hard 2 tell. She’s on hill’s science diet

You are doing a good job with her feeding. As dogs become adults they often will only eat twice a day, and less sometimes than when they were growing. As long as she’s a normal weight I would feed her twice a day and an additional bedtime snack so she doesn’t have an empty stomach overnight, I feed Hills food and I like it because it has everything a dog needs. Other food provide an excess of calories, protein or fat, much more than they need. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to help you care for Snowball.
